GMail Search
OK, maybe I'm stupid, but GMail seems to really suck at searching lately.

So when I decided to switch to GMail, I made a point to migrate all of my email to GMail so that I could make use of the search capabilities. And as I have continued to use it, I have been and continue to be amazed with how well it works and how fast I can find things. But I have noticed something disturbing the past couple days when searching for emails.

Take this, for example: I had an email from one of my bosses, Bill Ornt, which was a forwarded email from someone else, Vlad Andrijevik. This email contained some work-related information that I needed to reference today. So I figured, hey, I'll just enter "ornt vlad" in the search box and find it really quick. Simple, right? Well, that search revealed no results (see the screenshot). Say what? So I was forced to go searching through manually looking for the email, which, I suppose, wasn't that big a deal because I found it in a couple of seconds. And just for posterity, here's the edited email contents:

I was up with **************** last night about this, and the only problem is the DNS server. If you add ************* and ************** to your list of DNS servers, everything works very fast and completely.

I added the bold for emphasis on things the GMail should have picked up in its search. I just wish it worked. :-(
