Dream

I had a dream last night.
I woke up, and it lingered still in my mind.
The colors so vivid,
The sounds so crisp,
The emotions so painfully realistic.

I wish it could stay this way,
But, like a picture reminding us of a forgotten memory,
The dream will fade in the bleaching sun of time

Into nothing.
