Hotel Rwanda
Pretty powerful film.
I started watching this with Aaron and Rebecca while visiting Chicago, but didn't get to finish it because I had to get to the airport. i think I kind of lost out on some of the emotion because I strted it from the middle the second time. But it was still very powerful. Cheadle's character was just a very good man with a solid moral compass and natural leadership skills. It was heartbreaking when one of his workers sold him out, and that the entire country seemed to operate solely on bribes. Aaron and I commented while watching on how we never even knew this went on. How easy it is for us to look on and continue on with our lives, unless it directly affects us... Anyway, I liked how the movie didn't preach, it just presented its case. Very good, and Cheadle was impressive, but frankly, I don't think he deserved an Academy Award (I know he didn't win, I'm just saying I don't think he deserved to win anyway).
